How to Wax Your Skis
Follow these steps to properly wax your skis for a smooth and protected base:
- 1. Clean Your Base: Start by thoroughly cleaning the base of your skis to remove any dirt or old wax residue.
- 2. Apply the Wax: Use a waxing iron to evenly spread the wax across the entire base, ensuring complete coverage.
- 3. Leave to Cool: Allow the wax to cool and set for at least 2 hours for maximum absorption.
- 4. Scrape Off the Wax: Using a plastic scraper, remove all excess wax, working from tip to tail.
- 5. Brush for a Polished Finish: First, brush with a nylon brush to remove residual particles, then finish with a horsehair brush for a smooth, polished surface.
