How to Wax Your Skis
For a smooth and well-protected ski base, follow these essential waxing steps:
- 1. Dry and Clean Your Base: Begin by thoroughly drying and cleaning the base to remove any dirt or residue.
- 2. Apply the Ski Wax: Use a waxing iron to apply the wax evenly over the entire base, ensuring full coverage.
- 3. Let it Dry: Allow the wax to cool and set for at least 2 hours for maximum absorption.
- 4. Scrape Off the Wax: Using a plastic scraper, remove all excess wax from tip to tail.
- 5. Brush for a Polished Finish: Start with a nylon brush to clear away any residual particles, then finish with a horsehair brush for a smooth, polished surface.
