How to Wax Your Skis
Ensure your skis are ready for the slopes with this easy-to-follow waxing process:
- 1. Clean Your Base: Begin by thoroughly cleaning your ski base to remove any dirt or old wax residue.
- 2. Apply the Wax: Use a waxing iron to evenly spread the wax across the base, ensuring complete coverage.
- 3. Leave to Cool: Allow the wax to cool and set for at least 2 hours to ensure maximum absorption.
- 4. Scrape Off the Wax: Use a plastic scraper to completely remove any excess wax from tip to tail.
- 5. Brush for a Smooth Finish: First, use a nylon brush to remove residual wax particles, then finish with a horsehair brush for a polished, sleek surface.
