How to Wax Your Skis
Follow these steps to properly wax your skis, ensuring a smooth and well-protected base:
- 1. Clean Your Base: Start by thoroughly cleaning the base of your skis to remove dirt and any old wax residue.
- 2. Apply the Wax: Use a waxing iron to spread the wax evenly across the entire base, making sure it is fully covered.
- 3. Leave to Cool: Allow the wax to cool and set for at least 2 hours to maximize absorption.
- 4. Scrape Off the Wax: Use a plastic scraper to completely remove any excess wax from tip to tail.
- 5. Brush for a Polished Finish: First, brush with a nylon brush to clear away residual particles, then finish with a horsehair brush for a smooth, polished surface.
