How to Wax Your Skis
Follow these steps to ensure your skis are properly waxed for a smooth and well-protected base:
- 1. Dry and Clean Your Base: Begin by thoroughly drying and cleaning the base of your skis to remove any dirt or residue.
- 2. Apply the Ski Wax: Use a waxing iron to evenly apply the wax across the entire base, ensuring complete coverage.
- 3. Let it Dry: Allow the wax to dry and set for at least 2 hours for maximum absorption.
- 4. Scrape Off the Wax: Using a plastic scraper, remove all excess wax, working from tip to tail.
- 5. Brush for a Polished Finish: Start with a nylon brush to clear away any remaining particles, then finish with a horsehair brush for a smooth, polished surface.
