HEAD PROTECTOR+ FREEFLEX 14 GW Race Bindings

The new HEAD PROTECTOR+ FREEFLEX 14 GW brings trusted Full Heel Release technology to the racing segment, combining high-performance construction with an advanced release system designed for ambitious skiers.

Developed for high-performance skiing, the PROTECTOR+ Freeflex 14 GW features an intelligent 180° heel release system that can release both horizontally and vertically. This design helps reduce loads on the knee during forward and backward twisting falls and is engineered to help mitigate the risk of knee injuries.

The VX BTR toe features Full Diagonal release, GripWalk AFS compatibility and BTR kinematics, while the HR PRO heel and Freeflex technology deliver the precision, retention and natural ski flex required for demanding race-oriented skiing. The binding is compatible with both Alpine and GripWalk ski boots.

Technologies

Full Heel Release (FHR) The Full Heel Release Technology delivers intelligent 180° release both horizontally and vertically ensuring maximum safety in forward and backward twisting fall situations. The FHR function can reduce ACL strain by more than 50%*. Freeflex Technology The Freeflex technology allows the heel of the binding to move back as the ski flexes, minimizing the influence of the binding on the natural ski flex.
GripWalk Accommodates all Alpine ski boots (ISO 5355 TYPE A) plus all GripWalk ski boots (ISO 23223 TYPE A).
AFS - Anti Friction Slider The TYROLIA Anti-Friction Slider (AFS) provides not only secure boot release but also rapid and exact boot re-centering. For better safety and reliability.
Full Diagonal Toe The TYROLIA Full Diagonal Release function delivers intelligent 180° release both horizontally and vertically.
VX Toe The VX Toe comes with an updated design and offers maximum safety thanks to the new BTR kinematics.
BTR Kinematics The BTR kinematics allows for constant release values in backward twisting falls. It compensates friction due to two different release characteristics based on vertical load. In the event of a backward twisting fall, the toe’s wings are pressed upward and shift to a new hinge point. This modified lever arm compensates for the increased forces, ensuring a consistent release behavior.
TRP - Roller Pincer Toe System The TYROLIA Roller Pincer Toe System (TRP System) with its four rollers allows a 180° release and exact centering of the ski boot. The TRP system reduces the load on knees and ligaments and improves performance considerably.
